dsc_4460Marija SPRŪDE – is young Latvian singer (soprano). She has born on September 22, 1997 in the family of Daugavpils teacher and researcher. Currently she is a vocal department student in the Jāzepa Mediņa Riga Secondary School of Music (teacher N.KOZLOVA). She began to perform opera vocal at the age 16 with teacher Jelena BORELE, master classes – with Ilona BAGELE, Anzela GOBA, Dita KALNINA. From the age of 15 she attended the dramatics lessons in the Daugavpils Theatre Studio „Arlekino” under the management of M.KORKLISHA, participated in the children’s performances. She is fluent in Latvian, Russian and English, has a basic knowledge of Italian language. She enjoys reading, modern dance, she has made her debut as a photo-model. Her favorite writers are Paulo Coelho, Anton Chekhov, John R.R. Tolkien, Agatha Christie. Her favorite composers are Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giacomo Puccini, Henry Purcell, Joackino Rossini. From contemporary composers she prefers David Foster and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Her favorite opera singers are Jonas Kaufmann, Anna Netrebko, Elina Garanca, Jessie Norman, David Miller, Enrico Caruso, Carlos Marin. She likes cinematography, especially works of Martin Scorsese, Peter Jackson and James Cameron. People who inspire are Nick Vujicic, Keanu Reeves, Oprah Winfrey.
